Bike Fest returns for fourth year
On Saturday 6 July, the 4th annual Shafton Bike Fest will take place. The event which will run from 12 pm to 3 pm, is a charity motorcycle show held by students at °Ù´ºÁ´ Academy Shafton and its charity committee to raise funds for the Yorkshire Air Ambulance and Barnsley Food Bank.

Winners of the Barnsley Young Champion Awards were announced at a celebration evening at the Metrodome Arena on Friday, June 14. The Barnsley Chronicle teamed up with Barnsley College for the biggest-ever search for its town’s inspiring young people. There were 15 awards in all, with one being awarded to students at °Ù´ºÁ´ Academy Shafton.
